Biography

Paolo Sossai received his degree in Medicine and Surgery from Institute of Medical Pathology Catholic University, He also he specialized in Medicine Oncology at Catanzaro University during the period of 1980-1992. He hold Ph.D in Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences and Public Health at Internation School of Advanced Studies of University of Camerino. After graduating in Medicine on March 5, 1985, he carried out military service for 15 months as a medical officer. He is a doctor of the Italian Alpine Rescue; He has been Head of an Internal Medicine Department for 16 years. He also worked as a professor at university of camerino since 2004 in the department of Drug Sciences and also at University of Ancona since 2016-2017. He is also expertise in Public Health, Clinical Research, Health Informatics.

Biography

Alexander Birbrair received his Bachelor’s Biomedical degree from Santa Cruz State University in Brazil. He moved to North Carolina, where he finished his PhD in Neuroscience under the mentorship of Osvaldo Delbono. Then, he joined as a posdoc in Stem Cell Biology at Paul Frenette’s laboratory at Albert Einstein School of Medicine. In 2016, he was appointed faculty at Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, where he started his own lab. His laboratory is interested in understanding how the cellular components of different tissues function and control disease progression. His group explores the roles of specific cell populations in the tissue microenvironment by using state-of-the-art techniques
