Introduction

The art of homeopathy has accidentally been found by Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). He has lived in a time, when medical doctors have mostly prescribed medications in harmful doses. So, he step by step diluted them to the tenth. Each dilution was shaken rigorously in order to mix it well. He realized, that even after having diluted the solutions, they still possessed healing power for certain conditions, but had less side effects. On the contrary, he found that the highest dilutions eventually had better effects than the lower once. As Austrian physicist Josef Loschmidt had determined the, so called, Avogadro’s or Loschmidt’s number only in 1865, Samuel Hahnemann did not know, that he is using remedies, that were diluted beyond Avogadro’s number and therefore did not contain molecules of the original substance anymore.

Classical scientists are convinced, that homeopathy equals just a mere placebo-therapy. Natural science has progressed enormously with time and is able now to explain how each molecule in our body has been made up. But we still don’t have the slightest idea, why a fertilized egg will find its way to become, e.g., a sunflower, a frog or a human being. The precision of the macro- and microscopic shape of plants, animals and human beings is incredibly complex and precise. Scientists cannot explain how this miraculous process can take place. All we presently know is, that the information necessary is not to be found in the genes. Quantum physicists however assume by now, that information is ubiquitary [1] and therefore available anywhere and anytime in space.

Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homeopathy, has found a way to transfer a complex healing information into a living creature. However, the information transferred has to be the one presently needed. The situation is similar to being stuck in an exam. If, e.g., you should calculate the area of a circle and you have forgotten the value of the number π, you should be given the correct value. In case your homoeopathic doctor has not fully understood and solved your case, he might tell you, how the word “cow” is translated into French (i.e. give you an unsuitable remedy). In this case you will not be able to profit from the homeopathic prescription, but it also won’t do any harm. Your situation will remain as if you had not had any treatment.

Footnote 1: ubiquitary = available anywhere and anytime in space.

Matridonal Remedies

Homeopathy is a branch of alternative medicine, which is quite popular all over the world. In the last two decades the so called Matridonal Remedies [2] have been introduced as a new group of homeopathic remedies. They all stem from human tissues which have a direct connection to pregnancy, birth and lactation. and therefore relate to the start of life.

Footnote 2: „Matridonal“ meaning „given or gifted by the mother“, and thereby emphasizing the great contribution mothers offer to the creation of human life.

Most commonly used on a regular basis, are at present the following remedies [3]:

Footnote 3: Matridonal remedies can be ordered in the web at “helios.co.uk” (Oxytcinum is available under the name of “Syntocinon”).

i. Placenta humana Placenta

ii. Chorda umbilicalis Umbilical cord

iii. Amnii liquor Amniotic fluid

iv. Vernix caseosa the waxy cheese-like substance covering the infant

v. Oxytocinum the hormone which causes contractions and lactation, the hormone of love

vi. Lac humanum mother‘s milk

In our culture it has been assumed for a long time that life only begins with birth. Many people - and with them most conventional doctors - are of the opinion, that an unborn child is incapable of feelings, let alone memories. To experts it is clear however, that in fact the opposite is true. An unborn child is a sensitive being, acutely aware and already fully conscious. Pre-natal experiences even appear to be the most important impressions of all. Trauma, originating during pregnancy or birth, when left untreated, continue to have a life-long effect. Often, we can only begin to understand the difficulties of a patient, once it is known how conception, pregnancy and birth took place. Sadly, this insight has not yet been generally received by society. In fact, pregnant women should be treated like queens to avoid negative influences on the unborn.

Causative Factors of Matridonal Remedies

Each of the matridonal remedies has its own materia medica [4] and can be prescribed by classical homeopathic standard procedures, such as listing all the patient’s symptoms and choosing the remedy that fits best. In case of knowledge about the circumstances the mother has gone through during pregnancy, birth and lactation period, prescription of the correct remedy is easy according the causa (i.e. causative factor) as listed below:

Footnote 4: Set of all the symptoms known to be typical for a specific homeopathic remedy.

Amnii liquor:

consequence of maternal fear during pregnancy

consequence of maternal grief during pregnancy

Chorda umbilicalis:

consequence of insufficient maternal contact with the unborn child during pregnancy

consequence of severe morning sickness of the mother

consequence of maternal tobacco or drug abuse during pregnancy

consequence of threatening miscarriage during pregnancy

Placenta humana:

consequence of lack of desire for a child in the mother

consequence of considered or attempted abortion

consequence of birth under general anesthesia

Vernix caseosa:

consequence of maternal stress before, during or after the birth

Oxytocinum:

consequence of induced birth (often with Oxytocin (= Syntocinon®))

consequence of cesarian section (Cesarian section is always an indication for Oxytocinum!)

Lac humanum:

consequence of being the firstborn child after the death of a sibling

(by natural abortion, disease or accident)

consequence of having to take the place of mother at an early age

(mother is busy, absent or dead)

consequence of having to care for a child, who should be grown up long since

(typical: mother of a child with Down’s-syndrome)

Case 1:

Conspicuous Behaviour

The mother would like a consultation for her soon to be three year old son Ben, because he behaves in a very conspicuous manner.

Ben does not play with toys, but always wants the same things his mother is using at the moment. He is loud and disobedient, does not accept boundaries or prohibitions. If he is not allowed to follow his will, he becomes angry. At home he interrupts every conversation and is jealous when his mother is caring for his little sister. At nursery he behaves well. When his mother wants to kiss and cuddle, he pushes her away after seven seconds. During the consultation Ben makes a big mess in the room and throws pillows around.

Ben is the firstborn child, and was very much wanted. The mother says that her „pregnancy was a dream“, and she carried him eleven days beyond her due date. She would have loved to have remained pregnant for longer. As the contractions started, she went to the birthing center. Although the contractions continued there, the cervix was not dilating. The longer this went on, the more the leading gynecologist put her under pressure, so that she felt like a „beaten dog“, who is given „yet another kick on top of the beating“. After 24 hours the dilation of the cervix was only 2cm. At this point the mother was transferred to hospital, where she was given an epidural and drugs to induce labour. But even this could not prevent Ben from being born by emergency Caesarean after all.

Ben was a cry baby. For ten months he suffered from tummy aches and slept badly. Again and again he would make a drama and scream his lungs out. He learnt to walk normally, but speech was somewhat late. When he is having his nappy changed, he sometimes says that he has a pain inside the anus.

Indications for selection of remedy:

i. Labor was induced

ii. Birth was cesarian

Prescription: Oxytocinum C200 (single dose)

Progress after one month:

i. Ben’s mother reports, that the change is like night and day

ii. Shortly after being given the remedy Ben was very clingy with his mother for a few days

iii. After two weeks he had a high fever for two days; however was cheerful during the fever

iv. Is no longer confrontational with his mother

v. Has made great progress in speaking

vi. Goes more easily to sleep, and sleeps longer in the morning

vii. Recently wants to have his hand tightly held on going to sleep

Prescription: Oxytocinum C200 (single dose, plus one dose to hold)

Progress after four months:

i. The mother gave him another dose of Oxytocin C200 after three months

ii. After that he became very clingy, and now uses a dummy

iii. When he is being reprimanded he no longer gets angry, instead says „I am sad“

iv. Gets in a panic if he does not have his dummy

v. According to the Kindergarten teacher, he is now very social in the nursery He helps the others and likes to sing very much

vi. Sometimes says he is happy, and swings his legs with joy

vii. No longer crawls under covers

viii. Puts everything in his mouth, like an infant

ix. Can concentrate for two hours, if something interests him

x. Still needs a lot of attention, which he often gets with negative „acts of heroism“ telling him off then doesn’t work at all, starts to cry; wants to be held

xi. Knows his own mind, usually rejects suggestions from his mother

Commentary

Oxytocin C200 was able to calm Ben a great deal. Beneath the layer of rage, sorrow is now revealing itself. In case this does not disappear by itself, he will need a dose of Amnii liquor next. This prescription would also be supported by the fact, that the mother loved being pregnant so much, that she did not want to let Ben go and carried him for over a week beyond his due date. Unfortunately, the mother has never called up again.

Case 2:

Excluded

Susan, a 39 year old woman, comes to the consultation, because she keeps getting excluded in life. She feels alone and an outsider. She was born in South Africa. Her mother comes from the white upper class, and at 15 years old got pregnant with her dark skinned boyfriend. The parents kept the pregnancy secret, and travelled with their daughter to distant Cape Town for the delivery, so that nobody in their social circle would come to hear about it. There the patient at 30 minutes old was adopted by a childless Swiss couple, who were living in South Africa. As a small child she was often alone and could become very angry. She remembers, that one time in a rage she destroyed her doll. When she was 8 years old, her adoptive parents returned to Switzerland with her. A year later they separated, as the father was repeatedly unfaithful to the mother. Since then she only has her mother as a close familiar person. Except for a violent pubertal crisis, she has always had a good relationship with her. With tears in her eyes she tells me, that she is afraid to lose her one day. Because then she would be all alone in the world.

Susan never had an easy life. In school, because of her dark skin, she was always the exotic outsider, and was frequently bullied and excluded. Many friendships as well as relationships with men have fallen apart. They always ended in some disappointment, either because he cheated on her, or because he turned out to be a mummy‘s boy, who didn’t really want to stand by her side. Once at the end of a 5-year relationship she burned all her diaries, which she had written during that time. In her professional life, she rarely manages to find her way into a work team. Where she lives, she gets attacked by the tenant of her neighbouring flat, because she has the cheek to shower after 10pm when she comes home after the gym. She is afraid of loneliness and of being once more excluded.

Indications for selection of remedy:

i. Was an unwanted child, should never have been born

Prescription: Placenta humana C1’000 (single dose)

Progress after two months:

i. It’s going well, is feeling more sure of herself with Placenta

ii. No longer lets depressive annoyances and negative energies get to her

iii. Receives more respect

Prescription: Placenta humana C1’000 (single dose)

Progress after five months:

i. It is still going very well

ii. Susan is better at defending herself

iii. She has found two new girl friends

iv. Susan does not feel to be an outsider anymore
