Abstract

This article applies the concept of contradiction in philosophy to point out that the real world and the possible world of a life are two opposing sides in a contradiction, and the possible world contains a large number of possible options. This article also applies the complex unit j in mathematics to describe the entire universe, pointing out that parallel universe is the superposition of all lives’ possible worlds. Possible world of a life represents the immature karma of the life, and parallel universe represents all immature karma in the entire universe.

Keywords: Possible World, Parallel Universe, Universe, Life, Contradiction, Option, Scene

Introduction

Parallel universe is a hot topic in quantum mechanics. Some people attribute some bizarre events to parallel universe, believing that they were caused by people of parallel universe. Some people feel deeply regretful about their experiences in the real world, so they comfort themselves by saying: My alter ego has a good experience in parallel universe and no regrets. Does parallel universe really exist? Parallel universe is a hypothesis proposed by physicists. It exists parallel to our universe, and it is similar to our universe, but it is different from our universe. “For broader and more general fields, the connections between them need to be enhanced and mastered by humans. Not just the natural rules themselves need to be understood” [1]. Therefore, this article explores the existence of parallel universe in mathematics and philosophy, and points out the physical significance and characteristics of parallel universe.

Possible World

Let’s take a common scenario as an example to study: One night, someone (life B) sees the bright moon in the sky. The time when life B sees the bright moon is assumed by time t1 . We use u1B to represent the scene of life B seeing the bright moon. Mathematical Expression of the Relationship between Spirit and Matter points out: A life is a single world, and each single world contains a spiritual world and a material world [2]. u1B is the single world of life B at time t1 , which includes both the perception of his eyes and the consciousness of his brain, as well as the moon and environment perceived and thought by him.

The single world of life B at time t1 is a real world, i.e., u1B . There are various possible options for life B that have not yet been manifested at time t1 , which are collectively referred to as a possible world and represented by u1B . The possible world in this article has no intersection with the real world. Obviously, life B conforms to the concept of contradiction. “Contradiction refers to the relationship between opposites, which are both opposite and unified, mutually exclusive and interdependent” [3]. Assume that u1B(t1) denotes the contradiction at time t1 . The real world u1B is one side in the contradiction, while the possible world 1B ¬u is the other side. Their relationship is shown in (Figure 1).

Figure 1: The relationship between u1B and ¬u1B .

u1B and ¬u1B are like two sides of a coin. u1B manifests at time t1 , while ¬u1B does not manifest at time t1 . But ¬u1B is also a form of existence, i.e., possible world exists in the entire universe. The entire universe in this article is defined as the sum of real universe and parallel universe, where parallel universe is the sum of all possible worlds. ¬u1B includes various options, and each option is like a virtual scene. No.1 option in ¬u1B is assumed to be as follows: Life B is walking while watching the cattle on the road at time t1 . Although he is walking, he does not look at the bright moon and does not realize it. The causal relationship represented by No.1 option is:
a) This road is often taken by life B for walks.
b) The cattle often graze in the area.
c) Life B, driven by the habit of regimen with pure mind (abbr. RPM), takes a walk at time t1 .
d) The little ox needs to go home and sleep at time t1 , so the cattle are walking on their way home. The remaining conditions are not listed one by one.

The components of No.1 option include the body and mind of life B, road, old ox, little ox, grass, RPM, sleep, etc. These components have composed a causal relationship over time, and No.1 option is the karmic consequence. Although No.1 option does not actually occur, it is one of the trends in the development of u1B . The karmic consequence or trend can be summarized in one word as karma. No.1 option is a karma which has not manifested, or more specifically, it is an immature karma. The immature karma of life B at time t1 refers to the part of his physical and spiritual activities that have not produced results at time t1 , or in other words, the results of these activities have not yet manifested.

The causal relationship reflects in the real world u1B is: a) Life B, driven by the habit of RPM, takes a walk at time t1 . b) Dongping Town in Yangjiang City, located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone, has a bright moon in the sky at time t1 . c) The cattle do not come, and life B does not see any passersby at time t1 . d) Life B works smoothly during the day and relaxes at night. The remaining conditions are not listed one by one.

The components of u1B include the body and mind of life B, the bright moon, work, RPM, etc. u1B is the manifestation of karma, or more specifically, the manifestation of mature karma. The mature karma of life B at time t1 refers to the part of his physical and spiritual activities that produce results at time t1 , and the results of these activities manifest as the real world. Figure 1 shows the relationship between mature karma and immature karma of life B.

No. 2 option in ¬u1B is assumed to be as follows: Life B is walking and thinking about the existence of parallel universe at time t1 . Although he is walking, he does not look at the bright moon and does not realize it. The components of No. 2 option include the body and mind of life B, parallel universe theory, road, etc. No.2 option is not meaningless speculation, and it represents a karma that is different from the karma of No.1 option. Obviously, ¬u1B not only includes No.1 option and No. 2 option. If ¬u1B has N options, each option represents a different karma. In short, the possible world is not empty or meaningless concept, it represents all immature karma.

Parallel Universe

Assume that vector OA  denotes u1B in the complex plane, and vector OB  denotes ¬u1B . Because there is no intersection between u1B and ¬u1B , OA  and OB  are perpendicular to each other, i.e., OA ⊥ OB   . So the mathematical expression of the contradiction uB(t) at time t1 is

In equation 1, j is the imaginary unit used to distinguish ¬u1B from u1B in different dimensions.

Assume that 11 u denotes the single world of life 1 at time t1 ; u12 denotes the single world of life 2 at time t1 ; u13 denotes the single world of life 3 at time t1 ; the rest are similar. Assume that u1Σ denotes the real universe at time t1 . Because the real universe is the superposition of all lives’ single worlds [2], there is

Assume that ¬u11 denotes the possible world of life 1 at time 1 ;¬u12 denotes the possible world of life 2 at time t1 ; ¬u13 denotes the possible world of life 3 at time t1 ; the rest are similar. Assume that ¬u1Σ denotes the universe that does not manifest at time t1 . Because ¬u1Σ is the superposition of all lives’ possible worlds, there is

Then we obtain the mathematical expression of the entire universe at time t1, i.e.,

In equation 4, u1Σ is the real universe at time t1 ; ¬u1Σ is parallel universe of u1Σ , which has not yet manifested in reality. In short, we have a total of 6 dimensions, which are x, y, z, spiritual world, parallel universe, and time. The structure of the entire universe is shown in (Figure 2).

In Figure 2, u13 denotes life 3’s single world at time t1 ; x13 denotes x-axis of life 3’s material world at time t1 ; y13 denotes y-axis of life 3’s material world at time t1 ; z13 denotes z-axis of life 3’s material world at time t1 ; S13 denotes life 3’s spiritual world at time t1 . The rest are similar.

Conclusion

This article applies the concept of mathematical set to derive the existence of parallel universe. A life is a contradiction. One side of the contradiction is a real world, and the other is a possible world. The possible world and the real world are perpendicular to each other, i.e., there is no intersection. The real world reflects mature karma, while the possible world represents immature karma. In summary, we can draw the following conclusions.

Firstly, possible world cannot be found in the real world because there is no intersection between the two. By extension, parallel universe cannot be found in the real universe because there is no intersection between the two.

Secondly, possible world is not illusory, nor is it just a concept. On the contrary, it is an existence that represents immature karma. By extension, although there is no trace of parallel universe in the real universe, it is not nothingness. On the contrary, it is an existence that represents all immature karma in the entire universe.

Thirdly, there is N options in the possible world, but in fact, N tends towards infinity. Life B walks in a state of RPM at time t1 , which indicates this. The practice of RPM is “As long as a person’s body and mind are in harmony in daily life, he can feel the damaged area in the correct posture and exert his self-regulation function” [4]. Therefore, there are many possible states of RPM at time t1 , e.g., perceiving the soles of his feet, perceiving his neck, perceiving his eyes, perceiving his abdomen, changing the touch point of his left foot, straightening his neck, looking at hills, adjusting hip movement, etc. Each state of RPM corresponds to an option of the possible world, and the actual number of options is very large. When N tends towards infinity, the state of the possible world can be summarized in one word as chaos. The original meaning of chaos is the vague state of the world before its formation. By extension, the state of parallel universe is also chaos. Obviously, this is different from the current academic perception of parallel universe. The multi world interpretation of quantum theory, also known as parallel universe, holds that: The wave function does not need to collapse, it does not randomly choose left or right. In fact, both possibilities have occurred! However, it manifests as a superposition of all worlds: people living in one world find that electrons pass through the slit on the left; while in another world, the electrons observed by people pass through the slit on the right! Quantum processes have created two worlds [5].

In summary, equation 1 reasonably demonstrates the composition of contradiction, and the contradiction changes because of the existence of possible world. Similarly, equation 4 explains the composition of the entire universe, and the entire universe changes because of the existence of parallel universe. After recognizing the physical significance of parallel universe, we can understand why bizarre events occur in the real world. Any bizarre event is not a series of strange coincidences, it has long been brewing in parallel universe. When a person recognizes the state of parallel universe, he can objectively deal with his unfortunate experiences, and no longer hold onto the illusion of escaping reality, because there is no lucky alter ego in parallel universe.
